We’re halfway through the year, and while the summer heat hasn’t hit us as hard—yet—it’s on its way. At NSAC, we’re ready for it! With five fully air-conditioned workout rooms, you can beat the heat while staying committed to your goals. Don’t forget to check out our monthly specials, and if your insurance plan includes a fitness benefit, we accept all qualifying plans.

Summer tends to be a slower season at the gym, and we’ve made some temporary adjustments to our class schedule. A few of our instructors are taking some well-earned time off, and some classes will resume in the fall. We appreciate your understanding and support as we balance staffing with current attendance levels.

As we approach hurricane season, a quick reminder: power outages are possible during severe weather. We do everything we can to keep you informed, but please know that power disruptions are beyond our control. If a hurricane is forecast to directly impact our area, we will close temporarily for the safety of our members, staff, thresholds and equipment. We’ll provide as much notice as possible and always share the most up-to-date information on our Facebook page.

Our most current class schedule can be found on Facebook, MyiClubOnline, and our website. Some classes continue to be in high demand, even in the summer months. To ensure your spot:

  • Sign up 48 hours in advance at MyiClubOnline.com.

  • Spots are first-come, first-served basis — regardless of membership level.

  • Please note: Voicemails do not reserve spots. All class reservations must be made online for accuracy and fairness.

We’re excited to see you this summer and help you stay strong—both physically and mentally.

Wishing you a safe, healthy, and energized summer season!

Strong mind. Strong body.

"When it comes to strength training at the YMCA of Greater Whittier, members are often curious about the best approach to take. Two popular options are exercise machines and free weights, each offering unique benefits. Understanding these differences can help you tailor your workout routine to meet your specific fitness goals."
